2. 5-slot design

The Prime RTX 5050 features a 2.5-slot design with a carefully matched arrangement of the shroud, heatsink, and heat pipes, allowing the three Axial-tech fans to take advantage of the chassis side panel ventilation and deliver optimal thermal performance.

Axial-tech improvements

Three proven and reliable Axial-tech fans with a smaller hub that allows for longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure for lower temperatures, less noise, and better performance.

0dB Technology

The three fans stop completely when the GPU temperature is below 50°C, allowing you to play less demanding titles or perform light tasks in relative silence. They reactivate when the temperature exceeds 55°C, achieving a balanced speed curve between performance and acoustics.

Double ball bearings

Different types of bearings have unique advantages. Double ball bearings excel in terms of durability and can last up to twice as long as conventional hub designs.

Ventilated rear panel

Large vents on the backplate significantly improve heat dissipation, keeping the GPU cooler under intensive tasks. This additional airflow helps ensure optimal temperatures, increasing performance, longevity, and stability, while preventing overheating.

MaxContact Design

MaxContact is an ASUS-exclusive manufacturing process that expands the heatsink's surface area in contact with the GPU by 5% compared to traditional designs. This improves temperature by up to 2°C, along with an extensive heatsink array and powerful Axial-tech fans.

ASUS GPU Guard

ASUS GPU Guard uses adhesive to secure all four corners, reducing the risk of cracking.

Protective backplate

The PCB is reinforced by a metal plate that adds structural rigidity, helping to prevent bending and protect components and traces from damage.

Stainless steel support

The mounting bracket is made of 304 stainless steel, selected for its strength and high durability against corrosion.

Dual BIOS

Do you prefer lower temperatures or less noise? Performance mode keeps the fans running for constant cooling, while Quiet mode maintains the same power and maximum settings, but with a less aggressive fan curve for quieter operation at moderate temperatures.

Auto-Extreme

Automated manufacturing process that sets new standards by allowing all soldering to be done in a single pass. ASUS Auto-Extreme reduces thermal stress on components and avoids the use of harsh chemicals, achieving a smaller environmental impact, lower energy consumption, and a more reliable product.
